STOP PRESS! Rehearsals restarted in September but have had to stop
because of restrictions. Naturally, we hope to resume rehearsals soon, so please check here in case of changes. ![]() We are a small, friendly
choral society based in the village of South Nutfield, close to Redhill in
Surrey. We typically have around 35 regular members from the village and the
surrounding area and sing a wide variety of sacred and secular music ranging
from works such as Fauré’s Requiem and Handel’s Messiah to part-songs,
madrigals, stage music, great works such as Britten's Ceremony of Carols,
Chilcott's A Little Jazz Mass and
Tippett's Five Spirituals from A Child of our Time. See Music Performed for
further information.
![]() South Nutfield Choral Society is a very sociable group where members not only enjoy each other’s company during the rehearsal breaks (and some people in the local pub afterwards) but from time to time we also hold musical evenings for members, their families and friends and these are always great fun. In addition the choir hosts fundraising events including "Come and Sing" opportunities, where we invite singers from outside our choir, to join us in rehearsing and singing a well loved work. Mozart's Requiem was our last chosen work and was extremely successful and well attended. ![]() Dame Judi Dench photograph by Robert Wilson © South Nutfield Choral Society - Charity Number
