You have found the website of the Southland Astronomical Society.
We are New Zealand's southern most astronomical society, based in Invercargill at the southern tip of New Zealand's South Island.
From here you can find out a little about our society and our membership, our meetings and the public sessions we run through the observatory located at the Southland Museum and Art Gallery. The society monthly newsletter can be found on the Newsletter page, and information on our monthly meetings (held on the first Thursday of the month at 7.30pm) can be found on the Next Meeting page.
