UPCOMING PTA MEETINGS: Tuesday, October 9, 2018 Located: In the SLE Library Time: 6pm Our Kindergarten and 4th Grade Teachers will be presenting at our next PTA Meeting. (enter the building through west side doors). Please join us as they discuss their curriculum and various tools they will be using with your students this year. This is an excellent chance to learn more and ask questions. Also hear about the PTA and all the fun activities they are planning for the children. There will be free food, fun raffle prizes, kids are welcome. Come collaborate with us! SLEPTA Committees SLEPTA offers a variety of ways to get involved: You can learn about opportunities at our monthly PTA meetings, or join one of the committees. Email sleptarocks@gmail.com for more information. Playground Committee Update: GOCO awarded $110,000 grant for South Lakewood Elementary School playground project on March 23rd, 2017. This has ensured the project will move forward but the school still needs an additional $75,000 to complete all phases of the project. These phases include the Outdoor Classroom and Environmental learning area as requested by the teachers and students. New baseball dirt, diamond and backstop that can be utilized by the entire community. Help us to build a complete, fun outdoor park for the school and community.
