Following Stetson Kennedy

Kayaking the Florida Keys
A Trail Left Cold for 74 Years

In 1937, Stetson Kennedy and Zora Neale Hurston traveled through Florida, creating driving tours of the state for the Federal Writers Project. They did other stuff, too, like collecting local stories and folklore. They had a recording device as big as a coffee table. I have my iPhone, MacBook Pro, iPad, and a Road Trek. Starting at the Georgia state line and working our way across every shell road and strip mall circus, Calypso (the Most Interesting Dog in the World), the Captain, and myself will recreate the tours (and add a new one) to see what the world's forgotten and we can help it remember.
