Megalopolis Tournament 2017

posted Dec 14, 2016, 10:05 AM by Calvin Togashi   [ updated Dec 14, 2016, 10:05 AM ]

The Megalopolis Tournament between CBO, CYC and SEYO will be held on Saturday, March 11 and Sunday, March 12. Applications are due January 10.

The selection process and format for the Tournament has changed.
  • All SEYO boys teams in 3rd grade through 8th grade are invited to play. The selection criteria for the top 3 teams and bottom 3 teams will be eliminated. We want more teams to participate in Megalopolis as a goodwill tournament between CBO, CYC and SEYO. We will accept as many teams as possible.
  • To make games more competitive, similar skilled teams will be grouped in 4-team and 6-team brackets.
  • Teams will be notified well in advance if they are accepted (mid-January). Specific game times and locations will be available as soon as gym permits are approved.
To apply, go to the Megalopolis Tournament web site.

For questions, please contact Calvin Togashi ( or 714-381-9316).

Welcome to another exciting SEYO basketball season!
52 years and going strong.  During that time, we have seen the number of players participating continue to grow.   Along with that, the quality of play is getting better, and, a number of kids who have participated in SEYO go on to play on their high school teams.
As you may know, one of the primary aims of SEYO is to make our league the best possible experience for everyone, players, families, coaches, spectators.  We continue to emphasize sportsmanship and fair play across all the member organizations and teams.  To that end, I ask that all of you; parents, coaches, players, spectators and guests; review the SEYO Code of Conduct.  Lets make this season memorable for the basketball.

Our Winter league is scheduled to commence play on December 4, 2016 and ends on February 19, 2017.  We break for the Holidays on the weekends of December 25, and January 1.
May this season be a memorable and wonderful experience for everyone.  Thank you for your participation and support of SEYO basketball.
