SEYO Spring Season 2021 - Cancelled
On Monday, October 5, the SEYO Board unanimously decided to cancel the SEYO Spring Season 2021 for teams in 8th Grade through 12th Grade. CIF-SS moved high school basketball to March, April and May 2021. SEYO wants to avoid a conflict between high school basketball and Spring Season. The Board believes the health and safety of our families is the highest priority. The Board continues to meet and monitor the pandemic. Updated SEYO Rules Posted
Each year the SEYO Board of Directors reviews proposed rule changes submitted by coaches and organizations. The Board discusses them with their organizations. Finally, the Board votes to approve or deny proposed rule changes. The updated SEYO rules are posted. Changes are highlighted in yellow. Many thanks to Victor Chang for leading this effort. |
SEYO Winter Season 2020 - 2021 Cancelled
On Monday, August 3, the SEYO Board unanimously decided to cancel the SEYO Winter Season 2020 - 2021 for teams in 2nd Grade through 8th Grade. The Board believes the health and safety of our families is the highest priority. The Board discussed information from health experts, health departments, coaches, CIF, school districts, other basketball leagues and our families. The Board decided to cancel the season now and allow families to plan for the upcoming months. The following leagues cancelled their Winter basketball seasons: Crescent Bay Optimists (CBO - South Bay, Westside, San Fernando Valley) Community Youth Council (CYC - Los Angeles, East LA, San Gabriel Valley) Japanese American Optimist Club of Los Angeles (JAO) VFW cancelled their basketball tournament. The SEYO Board continues to meet, monitor the pandemic and will make a decision about Spring Season 2021 at a later date. Please see your SEYO Representative for questions or more information. |
