Submit Travel Writing

Interested in sharing your Southeast Asian experience with the world?

We are currently paying for content if it meets our specifications.

  • All paid submissions must be at least 750 words long
  • Images (which you must own the rights to or must be in the public domain) are a plus
  • You must be willing to allow minor editing, such as the hyperlinking of text or modifications of the html
We pay between $2-$20 (via PayPal) for accepted original articles. 

For articles published elsewhere (such as your awesome blog), we pay $1-$10.  We always give authors' credits and are happy to provide links to your own Web site or blog.  See out "Legal Mumbo-Jumbo" section at the bottom.

We are not looking for anything outside Southeast Asia (so not India, Japan, Mongolia . . .).  Generally, we aren't looking for generic travel advice like "How to Pack a Backpack" or "Being Comfortable on Your Flight" but if you just feel like it is excellent, let us see it.

By submitting an article you agree that Southeast Asia Travel Advice (SEATA) and its affiliates (under the parent company WWICC, Inc.) have the right to republish, excerpt, feature, revise, and otherwise use your writing ad infinitum (that means forever). 

For original submissions, authors relinquish any copyright to that work.

Authors retain the copyright and ownership of articles submitted for republication.  However, authors relinquish any right to future payments, royalties, or other revenue generated by SEATA or WWICC, Inc. related to submitted materials.   
However, SEATA & its parent company WWICC, Inc. agree that author and copyright information will be displayed on all articles, and, if included, a link back to the specified author's Web page will be included. 

If we choose not to purchase a selection, you will be informed and it will be deleted.  You can be assured we will never use content submitted to us that is not paid for as per the terms above.
