Light Utility Vehicle Wheeled (LUVW)

The South Alberta Light Horse utilize the G-wagon C&Rs in a light reconnasannce role. the G-wagon is fitted with roof-top gun mounts consisting of a hatched 80cm turret ring and a weapons platform. The gun mounts handle the C6 GPMGs and M2 heavy machine guns although the SALH utilize the C6 mount exclusively at this time. The most dramatic change for this variant is the gun shield to protect the gunner. This new shield has proven to be a great success in both protection and ergonomics. The C&Rs are three-seaters – a commander, driver, and gunner. Crewman are trained in each of the positions and are expected to be able to fill each role should the need arise
