Soumen Bag is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad. He received his Ph.D. in Document Image Analysis from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur. His Ph.D. advisors are Dr. Partha Bhowmick and Dr. Gaurav Harit. Before Ph.D., he completed Master's in CSE from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur and Bachelor's in CSE from the same institute. In addition to his academic experience, he has four and a half years of teaching experience. He taught at IIIT Bhubaneswar for 2 years as an Assistant Professor and at BCET, Durgapur, India for 2 and a half years as a Lecturer.
