1 cup broccoli florets
1 tablespoon olive oil
freshly ground pepper
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. (I used a convention toaster oven.)
Place broccoli florets on a foil covered baking sheet.
Toss with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Top roasted broccoli with parmesan cheese.
Bake additional 5 minutes.
