After arriving to Grenada and getting settled in, many SOs find that they have a lot of spare time on their hands. The beach is beautiful, the tourist sites are interesting, restaurants are fabulous, and spending time with your student or SGU-er is important. But after the newness wears off, and you have your routines in place, you may find yourself looking for other experiences. Volunteering is a wonderful way for you to become active in the Grenadian community, meet SOs, and get connected.
Many of us will be here for two years; some of us will be here three. If the island of Grenada is your home-away-from-home, then the people of Grenada and fellow SOs can be your family-away-from-family. If you are shy, outgoing, silly, serious, creative, down-to-earth, geeky, people-oriented, super detailed, or carefree, there is a Volunteer Opportunity that fits your style. And what an easy way to get involved, meet people, make memories, and create your own unique experience while you are here.
Browse the Volunteer section on this website, check out our Volunteer Blog, or contact one of our Volunteer Coordinators. We would love to have you!
