#FMChangeMakers are a group of family doctors from across the world, working together to generate and collate resources necessary for empowering their colleagues to engage in positive change management.

The initiative was born out of a working group at the Vasco de Gama Movement (VdGM) Preconference of WONCA Europe Conference 2014, in Lisbon (Portugal).
Initially known as #VdGMChangeMakers, the group was formed to develop tools and resources to aid young GPs interested in initiating changes in their local and national health and primary care training programs.
The movement has naturally evolved since its inception to become a network for international communication and collaboration between young GPs interested in change management and innovation on a global level, with participants from Europe, the U.S., Asia and Africa - thus the name change to #FMChangeMakers.

The primary objective is to collate and develop Primary Care orientated "Change Resources" in the fields of:
  • Communication & Patient Empowerment;
  • Image and Health Policy;
  • Professional Networking & Collaboration; and
  • Primary Care Relevant Evidence & Guidelines.
The primary communication platform for the group has been social media, most notably the regular tweetchats on Twitter (thus the hashtag #FMChangeMakers).

Don't miss out on #FMChangeMakers twitter feed (on the right).

You can find more about the tweetchats in the calendar on the bottom of this page. Participate via Twitter or Twubs!
