Futsal Fiesta Tournament News; Reported as on Apr 28, 2014
On Behalf of SportzDadz; i wanted to take a moment to thank the various teams that participated in the Futsal Fiesta 2014 tournament on Apr 26, 2014. Hope the players got some well deserved rest and are back to your normal duties well energized from the weekend's tournament
We had some real exciting & closely fought matches and after a full day of action saw two very deserving teams come out on top to grab the championship
The Men's Over 40 division saw last year's champions (Aryana) fight with the new kids on the block (Island Boyz) and the Men's Open division saw FC Braga against the 2012 champions Aguada Waves
The eventual winners crowned as champions were as follows:-
Men's Over 40 - Island Boyz (Captain - Ray)
Men's Open - FC Braga (Captain - Garrick Nazren)
The MVP's in the respective divisions were
Men's Over 40 - Zahir Hakim (Aryana)
Men's Open - Brendan (Aguada Waves)
The tournament also saw wonderful half time performances by the kids from Neeti Dream N Dance & some exciting guitar work by Glen Fernandes + a very soulful rendition of our national anthem "O Canada" by Holly at the start of the event.
On behalf of the SportzDadz; i would like to thank the sponsors, volunteers, spectators, players and all friends / families for their support in making this tournament a success.
Looking forward to seeing you all in the next year's tournament to be held at a bigger & brighter facility

The games will be 25 min's play time with a 5 mins changeover.
We will be starting with registration starting 9 AM and the opening ceremony @ 9.30 AM The tournament promises to be lots of fun with music, exciting soccer action, lots of spectators, half time show and many exciting prizes to be won
As a reminder; we have a social charitable cause associated with the tournament and we request the teams, family / friends and spectators to support the cause by bringing cans of food to deposit at the Daily Food Bank corner
The Canlan facility now also boasts of a fully functional bar, grill and seating area that allows the spectators to enjoy the games from the viewing gallery |

Tournament Date : April 26, 2014; 9AM to 5PMLocation : Canlan Sportsplex, 3360 Wolfedale Road, MississaugaLeagues / Applicable Team Fees:
- Men's (Open Age) / $300 Per Team
- Women's (Open Age) / $250 Per Team
- Men's (Over 40) /$300 Per Team
Each player will be given a wrist band unique to each league. No player will be eligible to play without one!
This week, we want to highlight Canlan Sportsplex who will host the tournament on 2 of their magnificent turf fields with a fully-Licensed Food & Beverage Service overlooking the day's events. The newly opened Sportsplex Bar and Grill is the perfect place to relax, with plenty of TVs so you can watch the latest sporting events. Additionally, they have the men's and women's change rooms and shower facilities too. Canlan offers a generous parking lot as well.
So come on down to play, watch and be part of the fiesta. The DJ will keep us entertained well through the day as we recap the day's events at the Sportsplex bar and Grill.

SportzDadz of the Sombrero Club are proud to announce Sombrero Club's Futsal Fiesta 2014, our showcase indoor soccer event! We had an exciting tournament for the 2nd edition of this in Mar'2013 and this year we look to make it much more exciting
