Basic to Advanced

Here's the deal. It's important for Christians to know the Bible stories. This is Basic. In this course, we'll become familiar with the main stories that gave shape to Judaism and Christianity, and later, Islam.

But knowing the stories isn't the same as learning why they matter or how they came to be. The Advanced part of the course is an introduction to the literary, historical, political and social circumstances that made the stories relevant to begin with.

Just as you're learning more complex understandings of subjects in school, in this course you'll gain a richer understanding of the origins of the writings that have become scripture for at least three major world religions. Also, as in school, what you do with what you've learned is up to you. Hopefully, you'll gain tools here  that will equip you for a lifelong journey of faith.
