The Soho Masses Pastoral Council

The Soho Masses Pastoral Council comprises people, elected on an annual basis by those regularly attending the 1st & 3rd Sunday Masses in Soho for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered Catholics, parents, families and friends. The terms of reference are:

 

-       to identify the pastoral and sacramental needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered Catholics, their parents and families;

-       to communicate with the Diocese of Westminster on matters of pastoral care relating to LGBT Catholics, their parents and families;

-       to be responsible for the organisation of Masses on the 1st  and 3rd Sundays, celebrated at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption & St. Gregory, Warwick Street, Soho, London W1B 5NB, and to be accountable for these to the Diocese of Westminster;

-       to undertake other activities furthering the development of  faith, spirituality, and the pursuit of justice.

 

The Reverend Shaun Middleton, acts as a liaison between the SMPC, other priests on the presiding rota as agreed with the Diocese of Westminster, and other Diocesan offices.
