My name is Soheil Moayedi Azarpour. In Persia, Soheil refers to Canopus which is the brightest star in the southern constellation of Carina and Argo Navis, and the second brightest star in the night-time sky, after Sirius.
I currently reside in Delmar, New York. My day job is with the Education and Training Department of Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA). In my off hours, I do software development particularly for iOS devices (iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad).
I was born and raised in Iran. I've been programming from an early age, ever since my parents brought home a Commodore 64. I taught myself symbolic algebra just so I could read and write BASIC code. Mostly, it was just something I did for fun, but I started putting that skill to use when I worked part-time during my college years and afterwards.  I taught myself BASIC, Quick BASIC, Visual BASIC, Pascal, C, C++, Objective C, HTML, ActionScript and JavaScript, as well as Adobe Flash (used to be Macromedia), and Photoshop.
I am an engineer by training, with a B.S. in Mining from the University of Tehran. I also have an M.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the Amir Kabir University of Technology (or Poly-technique University of Tehran) and I am finishing a M.B.A (Master of Business Administration) from The Sage Colleges in New York.

If you need consultation regarding designing, marketing an app, or strategic planning, I am looking forward to working with you.
