The School of Economics Macroeconomic Discussion Paper Series seeks to circulate current macroeconomic research that has been generated by those who are associated with the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town. The articles are primarily authored by staff, research associates and students. They have not been subject to any form of peer review as the motivation for this series is to make new ideas available as soon as possible. Any member of staff may ask for an article to be included in this discussion paper series. Feedback on the articles that are made available through this platform play an important role in shaping final publications.
