Transportation to Hotels

By air:

Liberty International Airport in Newark (EWR) is probably the most convenient for air travel to Rutgers University, Newark.  From Terminals A, B, and C, take the AirTrain to P4, where there is shuttle pick-up.  Shuttles to the Hilton Newark Penn Station are available on call at (973) 622-5000.  Shuttles to the Courtyard Marriott run every hour, 5:40, 6:40, etc. between 5:00 am -11:40 pm.  (Additional Courtyard Marriot info here.)


By train: 

The Hilton Newark Penn Station is right across the street (Raymond Plaza W) from the station.


By car:

For the Courtyard Marriott, the VIP Parking Garage allows your parking charges to put directly on your room bill.  If you choose to park in this garage the hotel highly suggests driving straight to the VIP Parking Garage adjacent to our hotel at 15 Lafayette Street.


Transportation To Campus

By car from outside Newark: 

For anyone attending the conference, parking is available in Deck 1, located at 200 University Avenue.  (This is a short walk to the Robeson Center.) 


By train from outside Newark: 

If arriving into Newark Penn Station, there are a few options for getting to campus.  

1)  Take the NJ Transit Newark Light Rail (basement/lower level) to Washington Street.   When exiting you will be on Raymond Blvd.  Walk along Raymond Blvd. to Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. and turn right.  The Robeson Center will be almost two blocks up Dr. MLK Blvd. 

2) It is a 15-20 minute walk from Newark Penn Station to the Robeson Center.  You may walk up Raymond Blvd. to Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. and turn right.  The Robeson Center will be almost two blocks up Dr. MLK Blvd. 

3) You may take a taxi right outside of Newark Penn Station.

If arriving into Newark Broad Street Station, it is a ten minute walk south along University Avenue to reach Bleeker St.  Turn right on Bleeker.  The Robeson Center will be one block up on the corner of Bleeker St. and Dr. MKL Blvd.
