OVERVIEW
The Society for the Metaphysics of Science seeks to promote work in the ‘metaphysics of science’, one of the most exciting new areas of professional philosophical research.

For many years, the Society has operated through annual sessions of papers on the group programs at both the Central and Pacific meetings of the APA. In September 2015, the Society hosted its first annual conference at Rutgers University, Newark.  In September 2016, the Society is hosting its second conference at the University of Geneva and is adding prior to the conference a satellite conference, "Ground in Philosophy of Science".
