  • Volunteers Needed

JVA and Varsity parents, with Petoskey only a month away, we are in need of one or two families that would like to organize the team dinner (families also welcome)at the Holiday Inn on Friday, May 10, 2019. The banquet room as been reserved already. Usually Terri Walker makes all the arrangements for this meal, but her daughter is graduating from college on Saturday, May 11. Terri has already reserved the catering company we’ve used over the last few years.  It has been asked over the years that parents make donations of beverages, veggie and fruit platters, desserts, and maybe silverware and paper products. The volunteers will need to get a head count and payment plan organized.

Each team will also need a parent to organize a meal plan for between the Petoskey games.

Senior Night: Two non-senior parents are needed to organize Senior Night in May. Grand Blanc Florist, which is located near Holy Family, always donates the flowers for the seniors to gives their parents and Mrs. Kehler. GB balloons are ordered from Kroger. Cupcakes can be ordered from Sam’s Club. A parent will need to take pictures of the senior players and their parents. The Boosters will reimburse the cost of the cupcakes, balloons, and photo costs. This event takes place before the start of the Varsity game.

Soccer Banquet:  The soccer banquet will be held in early June. Parents from all three teams are needed to help organize this event.

    Annual Ryan Schlee Memorial:

Our next GB Soccer Booster meeting is Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Aubree’s. The meeting starts at 6:30. If you are interested in any of these volunteer slots, please attend the meeting so that you can hear more about event you’re signing up for. Without volunteers, we cannot ensure the success of the soccer program.
