2017 Woodie Events
Well, we’ve survived the Holidays and now it’s time to get some Woodie Events on our 2017 Calendars! It’s a special year for us as we begin to celebrate 20 years as a club and the 20th Doheny Wood! If in some cases the distance or the incline or the weather makes you hesitant to take the Woodie, take the family car and just go.  There will be some additional events that we will remind you of throughout the year but those coming up and the biggies are listed below. Woo Hoo…so here we go:

May 20th (Saturday). This is National “Drive Your Woodie” Day. Put it on the calendar and we’ll see if we can provide something fun to do as a group; but be sure to go for a spin either way.

June 9th, 10th and 11th. Woodies at the Lake. Tom a Paula Parson’s and the Up The Hill Woodie Club invite you to a weekend at Lake Arrowhead. It all starts with Taco Night at Caby Waby on Friday and ends with breakfast there on Sunday. In between on Saturday enjoy a day of Wooden Cars on the shore AND Wooden Boats on the lake. You can’t beat that. More details as we get closer.

June 23rd, 24th and 25th. Woodies on the Wharf. Santa Cruz’s big show is like no other. It’s a drive but it’s worth it to be among our Woodie friends parked right on the pier. There are activities all weekend so watch for more details and/or check out the Santa Cruz Woodie Club website. Caravans will be forming as we get closer.

July 21st, 22nd and 23rd. Woodies At The Beach. Many people call this show their favorite as they spend a casual day on the green grass overlooking the blue ocean. More details as we get closer.

September 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th. Wavecrest. This is the Grand Daddy of Woodie Shows, with the main show held Saturday at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. Historically this is the largest single gathering of woodies in the country, though Santa Cruz and So Cal will give them a run for their money. The San Diego Club puts on an amazing event to help close out the Woodie season, Watch their site for details.
