Significant contributions:  

Dr. Balwinder Raj is currently working as Associate Professor in ECE Department, NIT Jalandhar. He is having more than 15 years of teaching/research experience. He did B. Tech, Electronics Engineering (PTU Jalandhar), M. Tech-Microelectronics (PU Chandigarh) and Ph.D-VLSI Design (IIT Roorkee), India in 2004, 2006 and 2010 respectively. For further research work, European Commission awarded him Mobility of life research fellowship for postdoc research work at University of Rome, Tor Vergata, Italy in 2010-2011. He also worked as visiting researcher at KTH university Sweden, Oct-Nov. 2013. He has visited countries like Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Thailand, for research collaborative projects, Invited Lectures and conferences. Dr. Raj has authored/co-authored 08 books, 15 book chapters and more than 130 research papers in SCI/SCIE/Scopus International/National journals. He guided 12 PhDs and currently 6 PhD scholars are working with him. He guided more than 45 M.Tech students. Dr. Raj completed 5 research projects from DST Delhi, SERB Delhi and CIMO Finland. Currently he is handing 02 research projects from AICTE and ISRO.

Associate Professor,  Computational Sciences

Dr. Munish Kumar obtained his Master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala, India in 2008. He later earned his Ph.D. degree from the same institute in 2015. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor & Head, Department of Computational Sciences at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda, Punjab, India. With a prolific publication record, Munish Kumar has authored 6 books, obtained 4 patents, and published over 140 research articles in reputable international journals and conference proceedings. His work has garnered over 8000 citations on Google Scholar, reflecting the impact and recognition of his research. His publications have been featured in esteemed international peer-reviewed, indexed, and impact factor journals, as well as prestigious conference proceedings of IEEE, ACM, and Springer. Eminent researchers in the field widely recognize and cite his work. In addition to his scholarly achievements, he has successfully mentored 9 Ph.D. students, and currently four students pursuing their Ph.D. under his supervision. His research interests span various areas, including character recognition, handwriting recognition, computer vision, machine learning, and pattern recognition.
