Welcome! This site is the home base for an ongoing, long-term study to record the breeding success and behaviors of Snowy Plovers Charadrius nivosus nesting at Bahía de Ceuta, Sinaloa, Mexico, and improve the conservation of the site and its birds. The project is a collaboration between researchers based in Mexico and the UK and Mexican conservationists.
Currently
the Ceuta Snowy Plovers are hopping up and down the coast looking to get over the autumn / winter and avoiding being eaten or disturbed. More activity will be back in April when breeding will start and we will then regularly update you about the situation and our fieldwork.
