BACKGROUND: Snow water equivalent is a measurement of how much water is contained in snow. Knowing how much water the snow holds is important to determine where and how much water there will be when the snow melts.
MISSION STATEMENT: Design and implement a prototype that will measure snow weight, snow height, temperature and other variables important to determine the snow water equivalent. The prototype should be cheap (~10% the cost of successful commercial product) while producing results at least 90% as accurate.
