  • Where to ski in the Snoqualmie Pass region
The Cascades have gotten a healthy dump of snow in the past week, and many of the Nordic trails are groomed and ready to go. Here are some useful links for skiing in the I-90 corridor:

Cabin Creek/Erling Stordahl trails - Just off exit 63; daily grooming updates are posted here. More info from the Kongsberger Ski Club. Also see hourly temperatures at various places in the ski area.

I-90 Sno-park ski areas - Washington State Parks maintains a number of groomed ski trails in the Snoqualmie Pass area, including Hyak, Crystal Springs and Cabin Creek. A full list with grooming updates is here.

Summit at Snoqualmie Nordic Center - The alpine ski area also maintains a system of Nordic trails. More info here.

Finally, it's a good idea to check the WSDOT web cameras for Snoqualmie Pass as well as this handy I-90 road temperature chart if you're heading up. Have fun out there!

  • Dryland season recap
Our club got ready for the ski season with several fun events -- dryland training at Woodland Park, a pole hike around Discovery Park, a potluck at board member Linda Schwartz's house and a successful ski swap!

Here are a few of our favorite photos from the fall. Now it's time to get out and enjoy the early ski season!

  • SNC 2015-2016 events
We hope you've had a wonderful summer and fall enjoying the Cascades and trails around the world. We are hopeful for a full season of snow and plenty of days on the XC trails!

To that end, check out this year's schedule of events. These dates are tentative for now, but we'll confirm them here once the snow begins to fall.

Mark your calendars for a season kickoff event on Sunday, Nov. 22, at Discovery Park in Seattle. We'll do a pole hike around the park, then meet afterward at treasurer Linda Schwartz's house in Ballard for a potluck. Watch for more details to be emailed out soon.

Need new gear or want to exchange the skis you're not using anymore? Come to our 2015 ski swap, Friday, Dec. 4, 6-9 p.m. at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Seattle.
