DBSA Snohomish Support Group Information

General Information:
  • Most support groups meet at the main Colby Campus of Providence Hospital in Everett in the Medical Office Building.
  • Our peer-run support groups (“Peer-run” means all our facilitators have a mood disorder or are a family members of persons with a mood disorder) are attended by a diversity of participants.
  • The group experience is rich with a balance of men and women, of all ages, individuals years into their journey of acceptance & wellness, and still others just beginning to grapple with symptoms or a diagnosis.
  • In groups you’ll often hear the word “diagnosed” which is the most common term we use when  referring to individuals with a mental illness diagnosis.
  • We use the term "supporter" for any member of the group who is a friend or family member of a person who is diagnosed.
  • All of our groups are adult only.  Group size varies.
Although our groups focus on those with mood disorders, family members, friends and other supporters are always welcome.
***We have a break off group on the second Monday that is for supporters only.
