WEEMS, Jr., Tommy R.

Departed this life on Monday, March 18, 2013, at age 52. Tommy was born on August 28, 1960 in Springfield, to Tommy Richard Weems Sr. and Reisel Weems. 

He graduated from Sinclair Community College in 2009 with a culinary degree. He worked at Keg and Cork where he was known as "the pizza king" to many customers. He enjoyed fishing, playing basketball and coaching youth sports. He loved to read, especially, science fiction/fantasy. He was a history buff. 

Tommy leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Phyllis, 2 sons, Brandon Thomas of Indianapolis and Brian Andrew of Springfield, 2 sisters, Dorothy Weems of NY, Susan Weems-Harris of Springfield, his special nephew, Nicolas Weems of Springfield, brothers-in-law, Carroll Wagner of TX, Gilbert Wagner of Springfield and sister-in-law, Carolyn Combs of Springfield. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Reisel. Life will not be the same without him.
