There are three versions of SNAP. SNAPpro2.0, SNAP2.0 and SNAPacademic all based on the proven SNAPpro codebase for kinematic engines. SNAPpro2.0 contains a genetic algorithm for fast engine optimization, free piston dynamics to allow the design of free-piston engines, a reporting sheet that generates a quick one page result for each engine, a NEW BURNER/RECUPERATOR design sheet to provide a first pass at the important and frequently overlooked 'getting the heat into the engine problem'. You must have Microsoft Excel 98 or newer to run SNAP, on either a PC or a Mac.
