Not your run of the mill engagement...

So, the story goes that we were sitting down at my Mom's 51st birthday dinner.  My friend and now bridesmaid, Sabrina, was making small talk.

Anwar and I had recently broken up and rekindled our romance.  We're sitting there together, and Sabrina says, "It's so good to see you guys back together!  Is it serious?  Are you thinking you're gonna get married??"

Now, the long road of our relationship, let me know that Anwar is not the most expressive person, and doesn't really speak on such things.  Well to my utter shock and surprise he replies, "Yeah, been thinking about it..."

My eyes were quite big, and I think I was slack jawed at that moment.

Later that week, we sat down and had a discussion about the whole idea, and it all started from there.  A solid and confirmed understanding of us being married, otherwise known as an engagement.

 Here is the ring!

It was a long time coming, but so worth the wait.
