Slawsa potato salad

Slawsa German style potato salad

2 pounds of potatoes

½ pound of bacon, diced

1 onion, thinly sliced

¼ cup apple cider vinegar

1 cup Slawsa, original

Celery seed

Salt & pepper to taste

Peel and slice the potatoes, cover with water and ¼ cup apple cider vinegar. Bring to a boil add about a tablespoon of salt. Boil until fork tender.

While the potatoes are cooking brown up the diced bacon, remove and set aside. Pour off all but a tablespoon of the bacon grease and sauté the onions; add some celery seed to the onions. I did the onions just until starting to brown up some.

When the potatoes are done drain in a colander. Add the bacon and onions to the pan then add the potatoes back in. Add the 1 cup of Slawsa; stir to mix well. Add salt & pepper if needed. Serve hot and enjoy.
