Italian sausage and turkey meatballs

 

¾ pound ground turkey

½ pound Italian sausage, I used Johnsville

¼ cup bread crumbs or Kellogg’s corn flake crumbs

1 tsp. dried onion flakes

1 tsp. Penzey’s sandwich sprinkle, or garlic salt

1/3 cup shredded cheese, I used 5 cheese Italian blend

1 egg

 

Mix all together and form into golf ball size meatballs. You can brown these in a skillet then add your favorite sauce and serve over pasta. I did mine on my smoker, one hour on smoke mode, 170 to 180 deg. I then went to 300 deg. for about a half hour to brown up. I then added my Italian gravy and simmered for an hour and served over spaghetti.
