Illac Angelo Diaz

    Illac is an Asian based social entrepreneur currently focused on the creation of sustainable alternative architectural solutions -
primarily flexible earthbag clinics and classrooms in rural areas in the Philippines. 

    Recognized as 2008 Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and awarded one  of the Ten Outstanding Persons of the World in 2006 by the Jaycees International . Research Fellow at the Special Program for Urban and Regional Studies (SPURS) at MIT in 2006. 

    Illac is currently the Executive Director of CentroMigrante, in the Philippines, which was the inaugural winner of the Development Track at MIT $ 100 K Businessplan Competition. The center has grown from the initial business prototype with funds from the competition to 2000 beds having served 110,000 transient homeless beneficiaries. Taking up further studies as a Masons Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government.
