SMILE in Grenoble

Statistical machine learning is a very dynamic field at the intersection of statistics and computer science. The general goal is to design algorithms that "learn" from data, and which can be applied to a variety of application domains including natural language processing, image processing, multimedia data analysis or finance.

The "SMILE in Grenoble" initiative is a pluri-institutional initiative to gather researchers and students from Grenoble area in mathematics, statistics, computer science, and various application domains, to discuss and tackle challenges in the theory and practice of statistical machine learning.
