Welcome to the Spring Mills High School Science Fair Information Page!

In the pages to the left, you will find all of the information you need along the way to complete your Science Fair Project.

Overview:
The Science Fair is implemented at SMHS as a way for students to explore their understanding of the world around them, and to complete experiments that will allow students to gain a deeper understanding of real-world applications of science.

This site is designed to be a guiding tool throughout the process of completing a Science Fair project--from obtaining Pre-Approval all the way through presenting your project at the school Fair, and even beyond! By following the steps given in this site, you will be able to keep yourself organized and focused on completing a quality project.

The completion of the tasks to the left of this page will allow you to participate in the SMHS Science Fair.  Winning projects at this level will have the chance to compete at the county level, the regional level, state level, and the international level.

SMHS Science Fair:
Since the opening of SMHS in 2013, a total of six students have advanced from the school fair to the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles (2014 & 2017), Pittsburgh (2015 & 2018), and Phoenix (2016).  In the 2017-18 school year, we had over 150 projects at the school level, many of which were sent on to the county level.  These students have the opportunity to continue on to the regional, state, and international levels.
