New Players

Here are some basic pointers for people considering coming to our game for the first time:
  • Plan to arrive early. The game site opens at 7:00, and staff will be there. This helps to ensure that a staff member will be available to help you with character creation, should you require it.
  • If you want to have your character finished before hand, we have comprehensive Character Creation House Rules on the website to help you out.
  • Try to have at least a basic concept of what you'd like to play. Stick with the main Camarilla Clans to start with. Some Bloodlines and Independent Clans require Council Approval to play.
  • If you're really stuck for ideas, we do have some pre-generated characters that you can play while you get a feel for things. And heck, if you really like what you play, you can always continue to play that character.
  • While generally gatherings are fairly informal, costuming is still recommended. XP awards are often given out for best costume.
  • Don't be afraid to ask questions. Our staff and players are friendly, and are more than willing to help someone new to the game with rules questions, or just general questions about the game.
  • At the end of the night, leave your character sheet with the Admin so that it can be entered into our database, and then you'll always have a backup copy on file.
  • If you're not 100% satisfied with your character at the end of the game (or even during it), talk to an ST. You can make alterations to your sheet for a limited time, because, let's face it, no one gets it 100% right the first time.
  • If you have any problems at the game, you can speak to any member of staff about it. If the problem is with a member of the staff, we have a Player Rep, who will listen to any problems you're having. The Player Rep's contact information is provided on the 'Staff' page.
While that's by no means a comprehensive 'new player guide', it'll hopefully help a bit. We'll continue working on developing this section of the site for the future. If you have any ideas for information to go here, please contact the webmaster.
