Trevor Sparks - The Very Best Of - Superpower

It was very very sad to hear about the passing of Trevor last year, like so many of the late eighties singers - he could take a song and make it his own, which is a talent. Its not easy to take old standards and make them interesting, but given the right rhythm, Trevor would hit the spot time and time again. 'Bye Bye Love' the first track here is probably the best example and his one of his big hits. There is and was a big connection between Rock N Roll and and the Dancehall
Style - it was all about vibes. But looking at track credits - Trevor could write as well, nine out of the twenty tracks come from him, and they stand up well to the cover songs including another of big hits 'Roses Are Red' . This greatest hits set is just that, with productions coming from Witty, Jammy, Robert Livingstone and Digital English
