Development of the Dead Reckoning Computer

This document describes the  development of the dead reckoning computer from WWI until the end of WWII, from the early mechanical representations of the wind effect to the E-6B which has become the standard flight computer the world over.

The document is very much a living document, any additions are welcome via e-mail to Ronald van Riet. The document will be updated at irregular intervals as and when new information will become available.
