Note you need to sign up NO LATER than March 31, 2011
Time: 8:30-noon followed by lunch at the Hawthorne Inn

Place: Ameren UE Power Plant in Labadie MO

Join us for bagels and coffee immediately followed by an educational overview of Ameren's largest coal burning power plant. Increase your knowledge of how coal becomes the electrical energy that supplies our homes and schools. Learn what Ameren is doing to protect the environment while providing the increasing demand for electricity.

The Labadie Plant includes its own switch yard, sewage treatment plant, water treatment plant, and 2 different recycling plants for our bottom ash and fly ash. Here is your opportunity to go behind the scenes. Afterwards we will adjourn to the Hawthorne Inn Restaurant for a wonderful lunch where we will discuss how we can use this in our classrooms. (Cost of lunch is not provided.)
