SL2Hub-DC is an interdisciplinary, student-led conference on sign language. The notion of a hub is many spokes coming together to one central connection. This conference serves as a hub bringing together researchers from ASL studies, Linguistics, Deaf Studies, Interpreting, Education, and more into one place and time to share research on signed languages from the many varied and rich perspectives and approaches.

SL2Hub-DC provides a forum for students studying signed languages to (a) share about each field's approaches and contribution to research on signed languages, (b) build connections across disciplines, and (c) support and encourage one another in our academic and professional journeys.  The conference is fully led by students, but non-students are very welcome and encouraged to attend!

In addition to workshops, presentations, and posters presented by students, the conference will feature a Keynote panel with experts from several research fields who will share about trends in their respective disciplines, as well as some of their personal research triumphs and trials through the years.

Note:  The language of the conference is American Sign Language (ASL).  ASL/English Interpreters will not be provided.  Please request Deaf-Blind and Low-Vision interpreters when registering or by emailing SL2HubDC@gmail.com
