아날로그 통신 시스템의 기본 구성 요소 및 기능을 이해하여 아날로그 변조의 사용법을 익힌다. 또한, 베이스 밴드 디지털 변조법과 그에 대한 기준을 학습하며, 이를 통해 통신 시스템에 대한 분석 및 시스템을 평가한다.

Understand basic components and their functions of analog communication systems, so that learn how to use analog modulations. Baseband digital modulations and criteria for them are taught. Build analysis and system assessment skills for the communication systems.

이 수업에서, 신뢰성 있는 통신을 위한 오류정정 부호를 다룬다. 갈루아 필드로 표현되는 추상 대수학은 연구한다. 이후 선형 블록 코드의 속성 및 BCH, RS-코드에 대해서 소개한다. 그런 다음 컨볼루션 코드와 비터비 디코딩에 대한 내용, 현대의 코딩 이론의 본질인 LDPC 코드의 인코딩/디코딩 알고리즘에 대해서 추가적으로 다룬다.

In this course, error correcting codes for reliable communications are dealt. First, we study abstract algebra represented by Galois field theory. Then we discuss linear block codes and its properties. BCH and Reed-Solomon codes are introduced. At the second phase, convolutional codes and its Viterbi decoding shows. Additionally the essence of modern coding theory, LDPC codes are taught on encoding/decoding algorithms, design rules. o are turbo coding theory, then.
