Recipe adapted from Shirley Corriher via ButterYum
1 1/2 cups flour, not unbleached
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon of baking soda
10 tablespoons butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons corn syrup
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup mini chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375º. Line baking sheets with parchment, Silpats or lightly grease.
With mixer, combine butter and sugars till light and fluffy. Add corn syrup, milk and vanilla. Beat well. Stir in dry ingredients, then mix in chocolate chips.
Spoon tablespoonfuls of dough about 2 inches apart on baking sheets. Bake 8-12 minutes, till just light brown. Cool on baking sheets for 3 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack. Makes about 3 dozen.
