Strawberry Sauce~

Adapted from

1 pound fresh strawberries

1/3 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

Cut half the strawberries in half or quarters.  Cook with sugar and vanilla over medium heat for about 5 minutes, till sugar melts and berries are soft.  Mash berries and allow to cool.

Slice the remaining berries and mix with the cooled mashed berries.  Serve over ice cream or cheesecake
