Adapted from Grandma Wetzler's Baked Beans via Jewel-Osco
1/4 pound bacon, diced
1/2 yellow onion, diced
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Freshly ground black pepper
2 15 ounce cans navy beans, rinsed and drained.
Preheat oven to 325º.
Sauté bacon over medium heat till browned. Add onions and cook till browned. Add the molasses, brown sugar, ketchup mustard, and simmer for a few minutes. Taste, then add salt and pepper if needed. Mix in beans, and transfer to a greased baking dish.
Bake covered till heated through, about 45 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before serving.
