Prag Camp 2017 - Kunstskøjteløb Camp

PERIODER af 5 dage

1. periode: 10.-14. juli
2. periode: 16.-20. juli
3. periode: 22.-26. Juli

Sk8 Tjek is one of the best and most comprehensive figure skating summer camps that you will find.  The program is tailored to all levels of skaters, incorporating not just on-ice training, but also daily off-ice training, that concentrates on physical conditioning, strength and flexibility, and dance/ballet for rhythm and expression.

Just as important is the environment of the program.  We encourage all participants in the program to build new friendships,  participate in cooperative living situations, and spend time socially during their free hours.  The families that accompany the skaters will find that Prague is a wonderful city to explore - many attractions to visit, fantastic restaurants, and last but not least, a very affordable city to spend time in.  Eating out is generally less than half of what you might expect to pay in Denmark.  So no non-skating family member will ever feel bored!  Cooperation amongst parents are the norm so that if a young skater is spending time at the rink, another parent will alternately chaperone the skater, leaving a nice chunk of time for the non-chaperoning parents and siblings to explore the surrounds.

The choice of accommodations also dictates how families will come to interact with each other.  Staying at the Hasa Hotel will almost guarantee a lively social environment.  Most parents will find themselves sitting outside, basking in the sun while their child/children are on the ice.  The skaters themselves will likely become more independent because they can practically go from training to their hotel rooms with their skates on!  As the hotel is like any other hotel, apart from the breakfast hour, all guests will have to eat either at the hotel restaurant or other nearby establishments.

Staying at DownTown Suites will feel more like a home away from home.  Each family will have their own private living space (basically an apartment).  We find that the skaters staying here will socialize with each other in various living rooms but mostly in the communal space that the Camp establishes for unaccompanied skaters.  For those unaccompanied skaters, a healthy dinner is provided as part of the program (at additional cost).  Lunch is up to the individual skater - sometimes there are left-overs that can be taken to the rink, sometimes leftovers can be reheated and consumed during the breaks...etc.  Unaccompanied skaters must be old enough to take care of their basic needs.  Since this is apartment-living, all meals can be prepared here.  Grocery shopping in Prague is very affordable so you can definitely save money by cooking all your meals.  So despite the price difference in the accommodations, certain families may find it more economical to pay a little more for the better/larger accommodation and spend less on eating out.
