About Me

Hello, I'm Sarah.

I have been working as a radiographer for over 20 years, initially in the NHS but I have recently moved into the private sector and now work for a private company fulfilling an NHS contract to provide PET-CT scanning for cancer patients.

A few years back I felt that it was time for a change of direction. For a number of years I had explored my interest in complementary therapies by taking evening classes, reading up on different therapies and trying a few things out on myself and on family and friends. I finally decided to take the plunge and went part time at the hospital so that I could take a training course that would lead to professionally recognised qualifications.

Thanet College provided these in the form of a Vocational Training Council Trust course (VTCT) and International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA) and International Federation of Reflexologists (IFR) qualifications. Dover Adult Education centre offered the London Centre of Indian Champissage (LCIC) course. I am a Fellow of the International Council of Holistic Therapists (FICHT), part of the Federation of Hollistic Therapists (FHT).This body helps to guarantee the high standards to which I work, under professional conduct guidelines, continuing professional development and with insurance.

In 2006 I started my own business and have been running it alongside my work as a radiographer.  I have treated a broad range of clients, including amatuer marathon runners, builders and clients with dementia and learning difficulties.

Outside work my partner Ed and I love to go out on our tandem. You can follow our holiday round Holland on it here.
