One Week in Williamsburg, Virginia
Perhaps nowhere else does the exciting story of America’s past come to life more vividly than in Virginia’s Historic Triangle. Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown are among the most popular and historically rich vacation spots in the United States, and are among the oldest townships in the New World.  From your two-bedroom timeshare, you can visit historic sites or spend an adventurous day at Busch Gardens Williamsburg, passes not included.  (For use August 13 - August 20)


Host a Dinner Party in Your Home Without Lifting a Finger!

Write your guest list and we will do the rest!  Dinner will be delivered by Italian Village favorite
Cafe del Mondo.  Emilianna's Table event designers will set the table and design the evening.  A few extras will be provided by the Spring Gala Committee. Sit back and enjoy an elegant evening with your friends.  (For eight adults, total.)



Two Nights at Pleasant Valley Bed and Breakfast
Located in Bellville, Ohio, (one hour north of downtown Columbus), Pleasant Valley Bed and Breakfast is less than five minutes from Snow Trails and ten minutes from Malabar Farm. The inn sits on forty acres of rolling hills and is ideal for the nature lover and outdoor enthusiast. No children are allowed so this is a wonderful adult get-away weekend. The package includes two nights and breakfast each morning as well as a gift certificate for the Malabar Farm Restaurant.

One Week in Naples, Florida
This three bedroom, two bath condo is located in the Vineyards community of pristine Naples, Florida, and can comfortably accomodate six people.  The winning bidder will have use of a social membership at the Vineyards Country Club. The Gulf of Mexico, Sun and Fun Waterpark, historic downtown and fabulous shopping and restaurants are all yours to explore!  (Available May 1 - May 30, August 1 - November 30.  Must be used in 2010.)

A Weekend in Cincinnati

A perfect family getaway with something for everyone!  Four Field Box seats at a Cincinnati Reds game, an overnight stay at the Cincinnati Marriott River Center in Covington, a Montgomery Inn gift card, and four passes to the Newport Aquarium. (Tentatively scheduled for the weekend of April 24.)

Private Pizza and a Pint Party at Columbus Brewing Company
Pick a Sunday this summer and invite 30 friends to join you for a private party on the patio at the Columbus Brewing Company.  Your evening will include Columbus' favorite ales and CBC's wood-fired pizza.  (Party must take place before September 1.  For thirty adults.  Beer is included, wine must be purchased.)

Classroom Projects
The children have been hard at work creating these auction items.  Classroom Projects will be auctioned in the live and silent auctions.

Children's House 1 - Handprint Bookshelf

This charming stained maple bookshelf is decorated with red, blue and green handprints of the children. The bookshelf is made up of four shelves, three of which are adjustable.

Children's House 2 - Peace on Earth Tables

This unique class project is made up of three wrought iron nesting tables with hand cut and glazed tile tops. Each table features a hand painted large center tile with a symbol of peace, surrounded by hand painted tiles decorated with the flags of different countries around the world. All tiles have been hand painted by the children in CH2.

Children's House 3 - Peaceful Earth Painting

This work of art is a 48 x 48 inch acrylic canvas with a image of the earth painted in the Montessori map colors by the children, surrounded by the peace pledge which has been hand stamped by the children. This would be a lovely addition to a child’s room.

Children's House 4 - Self Portrait Quilt

This 42” by 62” quilt features scanned 8” by 8” self portraits of each of the children in CH4.  The bottom corners feature the SJMS logo and “CH4.”  The back of the quilt and the portrait borders are dark blue fabric.

Children's House 5 - Tile Framed Mirror

A beautifully decorated mirror that is framed with hand painted tiles, each one individually created by the students. The mirror is 32 inches tall and 24 inches wide. “It will be just beautiful and is special because all of the different kids did it.” – Mica, CH5 student

Primary 1 - Peace Book

A delightful coffee table book of photographs taken by the P1 students of what peace looks like to them. Photographs of the children and descriptions of the photos in their own words are included. “Our class thought it would be a good idea to do a peace activity because our classroom is full of peace.”- Anna, P1 student

Primary 2 - “So Many Hearts Make a School" Painting

The border of this special painting is made up of the student’s handprints and in the center is a heart surrounded by a house.   Descriptions of what the children love and special feelings they have about SJMS are included, as well as part of the words of the St. Joseph Montessori prayer, which is the inspiration for this piece- “. . . so many hands to build a house, so many hearts to make a school.”  In the words of Allison a P2 student, “When I hear about a heart I think of love and that is how I feel about my school.”

Primary 3 - Ocean and Air Fabric Art Piece

An 18 x 24 fabric ocean wall-hanging. Sea-life pieces are made from modern fabrics, hand-torn or cut by the students and rest on woven blue background. Ocean birds soar above the water to complete this ocean scene.  (Photo coming soon!)

Middle School - Oh So Much More Than a Recipe Book

This delightful 8 x 8 book is a collection of all things related to mealtimes and food. Original artwork, poetry, table manner information, recipes by MS cooks, favorite family recipes, lunch box ideas, and so much more. “One of the best cookbooks ever made,” and “Making food is fun.”-Mikhail and Jasmine, MS students

Erdkinder - "What SJMS Means to Me" Book

This book is a unique collection of one word descriptions by the students to complete the sentence “SJMS is . . .”. Each student individually created a page to represent the word they chose. Original artwork and photographs are included. “It is an interesting project that lets us express ourselves and how we feel about a school that means a lot to us.”- Anna, Erdkinder student
