Welcome to Multiscale Mechanics & Energy Modeling Lab at Dongguk University

The goal of our research is to understand the underlying physics and mechanisms related to both forces and mechanical properties using multi-scale simulation approach, as well as to explore the ways of utilizing gained knowledge for a variety of engineering applications in energy, materials and manufacturing.

Current research topics include fracture at the electrode in Li-ion batteries and mechanical behavior of nanomaterials and composites.

동국대학교 기계로봇에너지공학과 다중스케일 역학 및 에너지 모델링 연구실에는 분자동역학이나 FEM 등의  멀티스케일 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 및 해석 기법을 사용하여 나노구조물이나 나노물질의 기계적 성질을 이해하고, 이를 바탕으로  차세대 재료 설계나 생산, 배터리 성능 향상 등의 공학적 응용에 대하여 연구하고 있습니다.
