Strawberry Field Salad with Sesame Vinaigrette

Tip:  For variations, add crumbled bacon with the pecans, and/or use a honey balsamic vinaigrette. Use feta cheese instead of the blue cheese crumbles.

Makes 5 or 6 Side Dish Servings

1 (5-oz) bag Spring Mix Salad Greens
1.5 cups strawberries, halved (about one pint)
1/2 cup pre-chopped walnuts or pecans (could use these Roasted Pecans)
1/4 cup pre-crumbled blue cheese

Vinaigrette (Makes about 1/3 cup)
1/4 cup bottled Italian salad dressing
1 Tbsp honey
1 Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
1/2 tsp Asian (dark) sesame oil

Into a large serving bowl, place the salad greens. Top with the strawberries, nuts and blue cheese.

Into a small bowl, pour the Italian salad dressing. Whisk in the honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil.

Pour vinaigrette over the salad. Toss to coat the ingredients well. Serve.
