Cold Broccoli Salad, Diane's

Makes 8 servings

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp vinegar

2 large bunches of fresh broccoli (= 5 cups of florets and peeled stems from salad bar) 
5 green onions including tops, sliced
1/2 cup dark raisins
1-lb smoked bacon, cooked and crumbled

In a small bowl, make dressing by combining mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar. Mix well.

Remove broccoli florets, peel broccoli stems, and place all in large bowl.

Add green onions and raisins; stir gently to mix.

Add dressing to the broccoli mixture. Toss and refrigerate for several hours.

Just before serving, add the crumbled bacon; toss and serve cold.
