Quaternary Evolution of the Laurentide Ice Sheet - Baffin Island, Arctic Ca

The evolution of the fiord incised east coast of Baffin Island is undoubtedly glacial in origins, but the specific evolution of the Laurentide Ice Sheet and the resulting fiords and adjacent high plateaus is still largely unknown. By measuring 10Be and 26Al in un-eroded rock surfaces that have been preserved under cold-based ice, we can work towards quantifying the frequency of ice cover and erosion over the course of the Quaternary to better understand how the cryosphere and landscape have evolved together.
