Glacier Hydrology and Sediment Fluxes - Svalbard

As part of the NSF funded Svalbard REU program in 2010, I was fortunate enough to develop a small research project at Linnébreen glacier on Svalbard monitoring glacial hydrologic responses to weather events during the summer melt season. Understanding glacier response (e.g., meltwater, sediment flux) to weather events is critical for the downstream interpretation of glacial lake sediment records.
